About Floor One Gallery:
Floor One brought competency and comprehensibility to artists and art viewers alike through an ongoing “living installation”. Exploring the relationships between the home, the studio and the exhibition, Floor One was an experimental and Do It Yourself space to experience art, firsthand.
Using the “home as a gallery”, or conversely the “gallery as a home”, guests were invited to survey the work of local, regional and national artists in a private and comfortable setting, thereby circumventing the traditional structures of public galleries, while maintaining a professional atmosphere for exhibiting and contemplating works of art.
